This program provides services to local schools and elder care facilities. Each Pet Therapy team is comprised of a dog and its owner. All teams are trained and certified in-house to be able to provide enrichment for seniors and encouragement to school-age children.

ROAR currently offers Spring and Fall certification programs for dogs and their humans. ROAR’s therapy teams go into schools, libraries and senior facilities. During the pandemic, Therapy Dog Teams held virtual and social distanced visits to continue providing reading proficiency, enrichment and coping skills to children – especially those learning to read. Since 2022, Team visits have been in-person again!
