OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR

P/T – 25 hrs per week – starting salary $15/hr

Work hours: Monday through Friday, 10:30am – 3:30pm

Position reports to Executive Director

Essential duties and primary job purpose

Responsible for managing the front desk, greeting all visitors to the Shelter and serving as the first contact between ROAR and potential adopters, donors. volunteers, and vendors. A love of animals and a dedication to animal welfare is critical.  Responsible for administrative communication, record keeping and inventory.  Responsible for billing, ordering, payments and petty cash. Informs staff and volunteers of safety issues involving the shelter environment. Communicates with payroll system. Responsible for scheduling building and vehicle maintenance.  Monitors Pet Food Pantry and Wildlife in Crisis donations.  Responsible for opening and distributing mail – both hardcopy and email. Assists with implementing and writing procedures and protocols with Executive Director.  Schedules vet appointments. Assists Executive Director, as needed.

Skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Positive attitude for greeting public, adopters, volunteers and staff

Bookkeeping preferred, not required

Customer service experience preferred
